just finished watching The Chaplin Puzzle narrated by Burgess Meredith. Toward the end of the documentary the restored version of POLICE is shown.
The short film Triple Trouble also has scenes from POLICE. Haven't watched it, but it was told in the documentary.

Besides the Majestic studios this film was made in Old Chinatown near Olvera Street in Los Angeles which gives this film an interesting historic quality if you look into it's details. This is a darker side of Chaplin but it has so much character it brilliant.

I agree the music isn't all that well chosen and I've noticed that this isn't the only Chaplin movie that is missing an ending. It's very disappointing.

the end is missing and sometimes the scenes "jump". Besides that the film is not that funny. There are better ones of Charlie Chaplin.
The music does not suit the film and I have heard in some other CC films that have recently been uploaded.
